This is the second in Jim's series of retriever dog prints. The painting depicts the very popular and fine hunting Golden Retriever in the marsh awaiting his master. "GOLDEN RETRIEVER" was offered in 1985 in  a limited edition of 850 full color, signed and numbered prints.

The beautiful English Pointers hold steady to the double  flush of Ruffed Grouse. The edge of an opening in an aspen forest next to an evergreen swamp provides a typical haunt for the king of the upland game birds. Jim's love of the sport and upland dogs is evident in this sincere tribute to both bird and dogs. No scene thrills the hunter more than the sight of Ruffed Grouse busting from cover in front of his pointing dogs. An artist is also inspired by such a setting. This time of year the grouse is at its colorful best. In fact, the hunter, dogs and bird are little more than an excuse to roam the beautiful fall woods. With this painting, Jim hoped to bring back similar experiences for the viewer of autumns past. "WOODS TRAIL FLUSH" was offered in a limited edition of 850 full color, signed and numbered prints.
